So much going on in the world, what’s there really to be praising the Lord for? Have you ever felt that way? Your life is in shambles, your pockets are empty, your cupboards are bare, the bill collectors are the only ones that call, does any of this sound familiar? Well, take heart, you are among the majority and not the minority. With gas prices over the top, milk and bread out of sight, what does one do? How do we keep our heads up and keep moving forward?
I really and truly believe that whatever our circumstance we belong to a God who cares and knows our predicament. The Bible says very plainly that if we seek Him first, He will supply all of our needs. That says to me, that perhaps my problems are generated by my own negligence of putting Him first. God should be first on our list not last, He should be the first One we call on, not our last ditch effort to stay afloat. Perhaps, your problems can be solved by learning to lean on Christ and putting Him first in your life. Then and only then will you find the peace in your life that passes all understanding. Then and only then will you be able to hold your head up in praise.
The Bible says in Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
What’s my Point? We almost always wait until we’re circling the drain to call on God for help. Perhaps it would be better if we called on Him first and let everything else fall into place…something to think on this about.
