FOUR LEPROUS MEN - II KINGS 7
They were hungry: There was a famine in Samaria so much that a woman
boiled her son and ate him. They were starving.
They were helpless: They decided to go into the city of the Syrians. The
Syrians were gone out of town, because the Lord had caused them to
hear a noise of chariots. Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
They were hopeless: They were without hope of living. There was no
hope! Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being
aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the
covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.
Their decision was a good one. But their delight to what God had
done was overwhelming. From rags to riches instantly! They remembered
their families had nothing and they had it all. So they shared. Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the
gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.
Sharing the good news,
